Getting Started - The retaining wall process
The initial consultation
During the initial consultation, we will come to you & your property to discuss & review your thoughts, plans & what exactly you would like to do with our retaining wall project. We will assess the area composition & any obstacles we have to work with, as well as projected timeliness & budget. This is going to help us visualize a good overview as to exactly where your retaining wall is going to go, the materials we have to work with, the plans & specs we need to address back at the office for your proposal.
If you have any questions or concerns, that's what were here for! We pride ourselves on our creativity & love to work with our clients on every aspect of the build from concept & design right through to completion. We are more than happy to provide you with as much advice and insight as to what we envision would work best for your particular property & ideas.
Proposal & Confirmation
After the initial consultation we head back to the office & put it on paper. We will compile all specs, variants, measurements & scope; review that the project conforms with city ordinance, variances, bylaws & relative permitting to ensure we've accounted for virtually any and all obstacles in order to ensure the job operates as smoothly as possible from tip to tail.
Once we’ve covered all the bases, we will then provide you with a written proposal containing the projected scope, project time line & cost for your review & approval. Upon agreement and the proposal is signed off on, we then require a 50% down payment prior to commencing the work itself.
During the build
As we progress we like to take our time & review each step with the client as we go. Depending on the size of the retaining wall you’ve chosen, there may also be several milestones in the contract requiring your confirmation and signature in order to proceed to ensure everything is perfectly in line with what your project requires.
Should you get more ideas or get inspired to add or change from our original plan then not a problem! We’re always open to any new ideas you can send our way. Depending on the complexity of the modification this may require the original contract & budget be amended which is simple enough while ensuring both parties are perfectly aligned at all times.
Completion
As we button up the project we take the time & review the entire retaining wall ensuring we’ve delivered exactly what you’re looking for. Any and all questions or concerns will be addressed at this time as well as we will review maintenance and warranty-related material for the years to come.
